Four Men Get Life in Foolio's 2024 Murder
The convicted addressed the Jacksonville rapper's family at sentencing.
There's finality in the case of slain Jacksonville rapper Foolio. Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy were each sentenced to life without parole on June 22 for their roles in his death, with Judge Michelle Sisco handing down the punishments.
The four addressed the court before sentencing. "It ain't worth it. The dissing, beefing, shooting for what?" Chance said. Gathright offered, "We don't know what we have until it's gone," while Rashad Murphy kept it brief: "I love everyone."
Foolio, born Charles Jones, was ambushed and shot in a Tampa hotel parking lot in June 2024 — a killing prosecutors tied to an ongoing Jacksonville gang feud. Alicia Andrews, convicted of manslaughter for helping locate him, was sentenced to 15 years in May.
