French Montana, Max B and Rick Ross Light Up the 2026 BET Awards
Max B's post-prison return anchored a fur-coat-and-pyro spectacle.
One of the 2026 BET Awards' most charged moments belonged to the Coke Wave camp. French Montana and Max B opened with their collaboration "Ever Since U Left Me (I Went Deaf)" at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, backed by dancers, with Max B — dressed head to toe in black — flipping into a beat switch on his verse.
The set doubled as a celebration of Max B's resurgence following his release from prison. The single, off their "Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos" mixtape, has become one of the year's biggest hits. Rick Ross joined midway through, and the trio closed out "Minks In Miami" in lavish fur coats surrounded by pyrotechnics.
The three were also nominated together in the Best Group category. For Ross, it marked his fifth BET Awards performance and first in over a decade — a New York-meets-Miami showcase that landed as one of the night's loudest.
