Skepta Blasts "Grown Men" Crowding North West at Paris Fashion Week
The grime star said the way strangers approach the 13-year-old 'makes me sick.'
Skepta is using his platform to call out how strangers treat North West. The grime veteran fired off a series of posts over the weekend after video circulated of the 13-year-old daughter of Ye and Kim Kardashian being approached by an adult fan at Paris Fashion Week — a clip, shared by Big Smoke, that showed a man leaning in for a hug as North greeted him.
"My fans know I try to stay out of peoples business but damn the way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick," Skepta wrote, according to HipHopWired. When one user replied that North "basically skipped being a teenager," the rapper shot back: "WOW!! Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!"
Neither Kim nor Ye was reported to be with North at the event. Skepta's comments tapped into a recurring debate over the scrutiny placed on celebrity children — and the responsibility adults bear when a minor becomes the center of attention.
