Teyana Taylor Rules 2026 BET Awards With Icon of the Year
She took home four trophies as Druski hosted from LA.
Teyana Taylor owned the 2026 BET Awards. Hosted by comedian Druski live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (June 28), the ceremony turned into a celebration of the multi-hyphenate, who walked away with the most hardware of the night — four awards in all.
The centerpiece was the inaugural Icon of the Year Award, a new honor recognizing a defining figure in Black music and culture. Taylor accepted with an emotional speech that doubled as a victory lap for a career spanning singing, dancing, directing and acting.
She wasn't the only one shining: Kehlani and Leon Thomas were among the night's winners as the show leaned into performances and tributes across hip-hop and R&B.
